Work in Progress
Here’s a brief list of pages that have been recently published, formatted, and where I especially need feedback. Thank you for any attention you give them!
All Names & Overall English Sound
My native language is Russian, and I write in it first. While I do my best to make the English version sound and look great, as a non-native speaker, I lack what people call a “feel for the language.” Sometimes I just can’t tell whether something sounds good or awkward. That’s why I’d be especially grateful to native English speakers for any comments on where things feel off, what sounds outright bad, etc.
Region: “Scarred Lands”
At this stage of the project, I want to bring all region and people pages to approximately this level of detail. A page should provide general information about what this region is, its core idea, what wonders and points of interest it holds, and who lives there. Broad strokes, but clear and transparent. Key questions for me:
- Is the page readable? What can be improved?
- Is the region and its concept clear?
- Would you personally find it interesting to play in?
- What would you like to change/add/remove?
Any other thoughts, ideas, or comments are also very welcome!
People: “Bryleahns”
Bryleahns
I’ll still be expanding and refining this page, but overall, the major aspects of the Bryleahns are in a good place for me right now. The questions are roughly the same as with Bruna.
Map of Malkona
Map
Any feedback on the map—how well the regions are readable, how it feels overall, etc. I probably won’t be making major changes like “let’s drop a massive desert here” anytime soon, but I can and will tweak things at a more tactical level.
Wonders
Wonders
The concept of wonders in the world of Taliskarn. Does it come across well? Is everything clear? Any ideas on how to implement and “marry” this with DnD mechanics, etc.?
Myth
Myth
This one is for the bravest readers. It’s the full foundational story of Taliskarn—how it was created, how its peoples came to be, what happened, and how we got to where we are now. It might be a heavy read due to the stylistic choices, but they’re intentional. Again, I’d appreciate any comments and ideas—what feels illogical, what could be added, what’s missing, etc.
I’d be incredibly grateful for any feedback on the pages above—or on any other pages, or anything at all related to Taliskarn! You can share it here:
